This is the First overhaul mod for BattleStations: Midway to bring some new light to an old game. The core idea of this mod is to bring you a more historical feel and more realstic gameplay experience of naval combat on the high seas and in the skies with planes.
So what exactly is in the mod? Click Read More for Details.
- Ships have more historical speed, manuverability, armor, and equipment
- Aircraft have more historical speed, manuverability, and equipment
- All ammo types have more realistic fire power
- Now there is separate ammo and equipment types for Japan and the USA; Japanese Torpedos and shells are much more different then their American counterparts.
- Realiablity factor has been added for most equipment; Sometimes your Torpedos, Bombs, and Shells will pull a heavy hit, other times it may simply bounce off the enemy vessel or plane.
- Improved Repair system has been implented; Once a Ship failure occurs dont expect to magically fix it as if its brand new anymore. Once a failure occurs all you can do is patch it up so it hopefully doesnt break down on you later on in battle.
- Damaged Flying Deck on carrier means you can't launch planes until it is repaired.
- Damaged Ship Engine means your ship can't move it it is fixed.
- All markers are removed from screen. Try to hit enemy without this!
- Much much more!
When exactly will it be finished? Most likely sometime next week. For additional information and discussions look at the mods thread here, on our forum.

does everyone have to have the mod or just the host for it to work?
read post for more info
Every player must have that mod installed to play it on multiplayer. Not only host.
I am only asking this question because it just occured to me that someone is eventually going to ask this question, so I thought I would ask it now and get it out of the way.
What we have now can be seen to be a little unbalanced to certain players so altering weapons balistics and speed of units may put that "side" at risk of being even more under powerd.
Check the "Rebooted realism mod for BSM" thread for the change log once its posted.
